Why do we give?

In Matthew’s account of the gospel, Jesus teaches His followers that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Said differently, we are devoted to what we value. When Christ is our treasure, we will be devoted to Him. There is a beautiful pattern in the life of a Christ-follower: the more we are devoted to Jesus, the more of ourselves we freely give to Him. And then, as we give more of ourselves to Him, we come to treasure Him all the more.

We give of our resources, our time, and our finances as an outpouring of this devotion. To give, generously and sacrificially, is an act of worship through which we express our commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Planning Center is the giving software we use, in connection with the Church Center App.
If you give online, your new Planning Center account will be automatically created for you immediately following the first time you choose to give through Planning Center. To learn more about how this transition may effect you and the ways you choose to give, check out the resources below. We're so thankful for the generosity of our church members and attendees, and we stand in awe of the many ways that God has worked through you and your gifts to accomplish His good purposes in our midst!

Disaster Relief Efforts

Like you, our hearts are broken at the destruction we've seen unfold in the areas hit by the recent hurricanes. We've reached out to Christian organizations who are coordinating relief efforts in these states in order for us to most effectively offer our help. In light of this, we've created a disaster relief fund to be donated to Christ in Action and Samaritan's Purse, divided equally between the two.

If you'd like to participate in this giving opportunity, you can donate to this special fund through Planning Center by clicking the button below, or by picking up a green giving envelope from one of our Welcome Desks on a Sunday morning.

This fund will remain open until Sunday, Nov. 4.

Ways to give

Through Planning Center, you can give a one-time gift to The Chapel in Green or set up an automatic recurring gift. These options can be accessed through a web browser or in your Church Center app in the "Give" tab along the bottom of your screen.

Text a dollar amount to 84321 to get started with this giving option. You'll be directed to set up this process through a link in the text response back to you, and your payment will not be processed until you've granted Planning Center permission to charge you in this way. All gifts given through text will be reflected in your Planning Center account.

Cash or check gifts can be dropped in Offering Boxes at each entrance to our Worship Center and near our Main Office on Sunday mornings. Personalized offering envelopes are available upon request for use in tracking tax-deductible giving throughout the year. Unlabeled cash gifts cannot be tracked for tax purposes. Please make all checks payable to "The Chapel in Green."

Checks can be mailed to The Chapel in Green (1800 Raber Rd. Uniontown, OH 44685) and must be made out to "The Chapel in Green." The contact information listed at the top of your check will be used to track tax-deductible giving if personalized offering envelopes are not used. Please do not mail cash.

Some givers are eligible to have financial gifts withdrawn directly from a qualified retirement plan. To learn more or to arrange for this kind of gift, please contact us directly by calling 330.315.5500.

The Chapel in Green can accept non-traditional gifts like stocks, property, and other marketable securities either through a direct-gift approach or through a legacy gift during estate planning. To learn more or to arrange for this kind of gift, please contact us directly by calling 330.315.5500.

How gifts are used

Ministry

Your gifts allow ministry to happen at The Chapel in Green. From Sunday morning programming for kids, to discipleship opportunities for teens and adults, to the work of Care Ministry as we help families navigate grief and loss, and much more, we couldn’t do any of what we do without your support.

Outreach

Your generosity allows us to share the love of Jesus and spread the good news of the Gospel through our community and across the world through local and global outreach initiatives. You help us send kids to Camp Carl, provide for needy families, and plant churches overseas.

Church needs

Financial gifts also help us maintain our building and grounds, cover the costs of utility bills, and pay our staff team. These costs of operating a ministry are easily overlooked, but we are grateful for the ways that the Lord has provided through our church family.
